Soccer Teams
Tryouts
Our teams range from U11 to U18 in Colorado Springs and from U9 to U16 in Woodland Park. Select a tryout based on the age of your child, receive an invitation after the tryout is complete, and join your team for the upcoming season. Contact us with questions or if the tryout for your child’s age has already passed. There may still be openings.

We operate as a nonprofit, crowdfunded organization with the help of a generous community of supporters and sponsors. Because of their generosity, we are able to provide scholarships to make club soccer accessible to more families. To begin a scholarship application, please click here.
If our goal of making soccer accessible to more families resonates with you, would you consider giving a one-time gift or joining as a monthly supporter? Donations are tax-exempt.

Equipment
The two jerseys are the only articles required to be purchased from Admiral Sports, our official apparel provider. For matches, players must wear plain black shorts and plain black soccer socks; families may choose to purchase these from Admiral or may wear plain black shorts and socks already owned. Other optional swag such as training jerseys, warmups, hoodies, hats, and bags can be purchased as well. A portion of sales comes back to Anglers!
For all training sessions and matches, players should bring a water bottle and their own soccer ball in the appropriate size for their age (U9-U12: size 4 | U13+: size 5). We request players wear a black shirt to team training sessions.
Schedule
There will generally be two training sessions each week. Once teams are determined, the Club and coaches finalize the days, times, and location for training.
There are up to eight matches in a season (the same number that would be played in a sanctioned Colorado Soccer Association league). Matches are in Colorado Springs and Monument with the occasional trip to surrounding cities. Coaches are often scheduling these matches week-to-week, so each week can look slightly different as a result. We understand this can make things difficult from a planning perspective, but coaches will be flexible with families and players regarding attendance in exchange for families’ flexibility regarding the sometimes-shifting schedule.
Tava Soccer Association
Most Anglers teams U11 through U14 compete in a Tava Soccer Association league. Matches are typically weekday evenings, though a few may occur on weekends. Teams may play a couple non-league friendlies to round our their schedule.
Friendly Schedule
When a Tava League is not available based on age or not a good fit based on skill level, a friendly schedule is one backup plan. In this non-league format, coaches schedule all their own matches against other teams in the region as the season progresses. Matches are typically weekday evenings, though a few may occur on weekends.
Pride Recreational League
If a Tava League is not available for a team and a friendly schedule does not make sense based on age or location, another backup plan is to enter the team in the Pride Recreational League. Matches are primarily on Saturdays.
Colorado Soccer Association
In some, rare cases, Anglers partners with other like-minded clubs to create a team sanctioned to compete in a Colorado Soccer Association league or tournament. If playing on one of these sanctioned teams, it is possible to have multiple matches in towns across Colorado each season. Matches are primarily on Saturdays.
